DTLA – Night of the living punknecks!

Lightnin’ is thrilled to share The Redwood stage with Jason & the Punknecks once again! Brass Knuckle Voodoo is popping the cherry on this southern-fried party this Sunday August 26 at 9:30 PM, then Lightnin’ Woodcock & the Bad Muthafuckers will get ours at 10:30 PM followed by the Punknecks at 11:30!  It’s cheap – only $5 to get some!

We had a blast on the air last night at KXLU for Lightnin’s third performance on LIVATION… Eric and Robert are always a pleasure to work with, and Lightnin’ always does my best to behave so they don’t in any trouble.  …But at the same time, Lightnin’ has got to be Lightnin’, goddammit!  Anyway, Lightnin’ did a fantastic job of self-censorship on this one, really I did.  Lightnin’ also perpetrated the most explicitly satanic broadcast I ever heard on any radio show, getting bibliomantic with The Satanic Bible on the air. Robert and Eric are real good sports, they put up with a lot from Lightnin’ last night (and they gave us a swell recording of the affair!)
