Fri the 13th & Bloomfest LA 2012

Times are hard as ever in Downtown LA, but Lightnin’ is pleased to announce two special local gigs this month: Friday the 13th of July we’ll be at The Redwood Bar with The Objex (from Las Vegas) and Deathsquad Demongods!

Then we’ll be rockin’ the Al’s Bar Reunion at Bloom Stage as a part of Bloomfest LA 2012 on Saturday, July 21!  Lightnin’ is honored to share the stage with Mike Watt & the Missingmen, Carnage Asada, Third Grade Teacher, Devil Dogs, Saccharine Trust, The Gears, Swords of Fatima, Size Queen, Sukia and Tawny Ellis. Lightnin’ Woodcock played Al’s Bar many times over the years in my previous lives with Psychedelicatessen, Foreign Object and Die Fast.  This will also be Lightnin’s 4th time performing at Bloomfest LA, and they’re lucky to have me back, goddammit.  We perform at 4 PM sharp, smack dab between Swords of Fatima and Size Queen. Y’all should come party the day away in DTLA!  There’s gonna be all kinds of shit going on in the street, including a bigger, better mainstream stage curated by KCRW. Lightnin’ is still wondering who is on the main stage, it’s all a big fucking secret, evidently.
